“Working together to share” makes two more deliveries

Mackenzie Richmond Hill HospitalSince the beginning of the “Working Together to Share” campaign, and our initial deliveries to Markham and Scarborough, we’ve made two more deliveries and introduced a donations page that permits secure donations using PayPal.

As always, the deliveries were made in cooperation with city officials and consisted of supplies that were verified with the help of Markham Stouffville Hospital.

On April 9, and with the support of Richmond Hill City Councillor Castro Liu, the Toronto and Markham Xiangqi Associations delivered 625 protective shields to the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.

Then on April 10, Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti and Markham Councillor Alan Ho asked us to make a delivery to Participation House, an organization that has been cruelly affected by COVID-19. Our hearts go out to its residents and staff.

Participation HouseOn April 11, thanks to ITech Computer’s Jade Law, and our Xiangqi Associations, we supplied Participation House with 1,000 medical masks, 500 pairs of gloves, two boxes with 48 bottles of sanitizer, and one box of protective shields.

We now have a donations page that can be used to make donations with PayPal, either the donor’s PayPal account or the TXA’s PayPal account.
